About the Book
In Nana Lena’s Kitchen, we follow Lena Goodman from her childhood in Berkley, Virginia to her days as a beloved matriarch. Born on the Fourth of July in 1912, Lena lived through the Great Depression, WWII, and a rapidly changing America. Through it all, her kitchen remained a place of comfort, joy, and wisdom.
Whether preparing the Passover meal or comforting a grieving family after a loss, Lena’s recipes come paired with life’s greatest lessons—about love, loss, resilience, and faith.
